Feedback
Feedback asks one question on every update: “Was this helpful?” Viewers answer with a thumb up or a thumb down, and the answers land with your team.
Overview
Analytics shows who watched an update. Feedback shows whether it helped. A thumb up takes one click. A thumb down can carry a reason and a short note, so you know what to fix.
Where the question appears
The question shows in two places. There is nothing to set up.
Update Center
Every feature page in your Update Center asks the question.
In app Pulse
The widget asks in the card, in the player and in the theatre. See Pulse configuration.
Reasons and notes
A thumb down offers five reasons. The viewer picks one and can add an optional note of up to 500 characters.
Anonymous or named
Ratings are anonymous by default. They carry a name when your product tells DemoBites who is signed in. For In app Pulse, use the With user tracking embed and fill in the email and the name of the signed in user.
The Feedback area
Open Feedback in the app. It has three views:
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | The helpful rate, the number of ratings and notes, and the updates that need attention. |
| Notes | The notes viewers wrote, each with the update it is about. |
| By update | Every update with its helpful rate, its top reason and its number of ratings. |
Every rating exports to CSV. The same ratings also show in Analytics, in the User Feedback tab.
One rating per viewer
Each viewer has one rating per update. A new answer replaces the old one, so a viewer who changes their mind is counted once.
Availability
Feedback is part of Growth. On Free it is locked, and opening it offers Growth.
