PulseWhat is Pulse?

What is Pulse?

Pulse is a lightweight “What’s New” widget that embeds on your website or app, showing your latest demos to users in context. One script tag, zero maintenance, your feed updates automatically whenever you publish.

Overview

Users want to know what changed in your product. Changelogs are ignored, email digests go unread, and in-app banners are annoying. Pulse solves this by placing a curated feed of your latest demos directly inside your product, exactly where users are already looking.

Embed Pulse with a single script tag. When you publish new demos, the widget updates automatically for all users. No redeploy, no cache busting, no manual work.

What Pulse looks like

Pulse appears as a floating panel on your page. Here’s a preview of the widget overlaying a typical application:

Key features

Pulse is designed to be lightweight, flexible, and completely hands-off after setup:

8 templates

Four sidebar styles and four floating styles, from Detailed Cards to Minimal Timeline. Pick the one that fits your app.

Domain allowlist

Restrict the widget to your own domains with server-side enforcement. It simply won't load anywhere else.

Custom branding

Your colors, your logo, your fonts. Pulse blends into your product seamlessly.

Single script tag

Two lines of HTML to embed. No npm packages, no build step, no framework dependency.

New indicator

A badge shows users when new content is available since their last visit.

Auto-updating feed

Publish a demo and the widget updates instantly. No redeploy or cache bust needed.

Use cases

Pulse fits wherever your users need to stay informed:

Product updates

Show users what shipped this week with polished demo walkthroughs instead of plain text changelogs.

Feature announcements

Announce new features in context, right inside the product where users will actually notice.

Onboarding guidance

Surface relevant tutorial demos to new users as they explore your product for the first time.

Changelog replacement

Replace your static changelog with an interactive, video-first feed that users actually engage with.

Availability

In-app Pulse is available on the Grow plan and Scale. Every widget on Grow and Scale includes the full feature set:

  • All 8 templates, sidebar and floating styles alike.
  • Custom branding: your theme color, icon, and widget text.
  • Custom trigger buttons and full JavaScript API access.
  • Domain allowlist with server-side enforcement.

On Starter? Upgrading to Grow unlocks In app Pulse instantly. The widget goes live the moment you embed it, with no other changes to your workspace.
